libasan1 software package provides AddressSanitizer -- a fast memory error detector, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libasan1
libasan1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libasan1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libasan1 *
You will get with libasan1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
